Just FYI, I had a hard drive once that wouldn't allow a computer to 
boot if it was in it. Try another HD just to make absolutely sure it's 
not that. And I don't just mean boot...it wouldn't even turn on. It's 
like it wouldn't allow power thru the system (this was only 3 weeks 
ago...and it was an ATA drive).
