Which large HD?

I have been away from this list for many months, so please excuse my 
asking a question that must have been discussed often. Can you point me 
to a larger HD to install. I have 20GB and would like to have several 
times that much. I want a really quiet drive. I can stand a little 
noise from the heads thrashing around, but I cannot stand a constant 
whine. Any advise will be appreciated.
