[CUBE] Throwing in the towel

I am using Keyspan Digital remote on my Cube, just ordered el Gato for my PB17inch, will also use on the Cube too...
I am interested in using the Cube as a media center, it has now 120Gb HD and 768 Mb RAM, so it should contains all my CDs (20Gb), my home made movies, should play DVDs soon (I have to install the DVD player, at the moment there is the original CD-RW drive...) and other media files (pdfs, Jpg, docs etc etc).

Any one with experiences of QT Stream server on the Cube? do I need a Mac OS X 10.3 server edition?
