I have tried this; if I press the programmers button the way you mention, I
don't get any flashing light; instead I get into the Open firmware shell.
The I rebooted and the situation remains the same... No firewire.

Any other ideas folks ? Did someone mention some conflict with the battery
of the Cube ?
