Core jammed, latches won't release...

Well as in any good troubleshooting I managed to replicate the problem and
now I have two cubes with the cores stuck. No amount of wiggling, moving,
putting on one side or the other will free the cores from my cubes.

Any ideas appreciated... one appears only to be hanging up on one side while
the other is so bad that the handle sometimes won't release.

Anyone successfully removed a stuck core?
