I have just posted a string on behalf of all Cube owners voicing our
sympathy and support for their plight to make MDD Power Macs quiet. If
you have a few minutes to voice your support in any way, it would be
helpful to do now. Thursday, Steve Jobs will be receiving by FedEx a
petition from them that will include directions to their site
http://www.g4noise.com which Steve will probably look at. The more Mac
user participation the site has the better their chances of getting
Apple to do something about their noise problems. Here's the location
of my post.

Cube Owners Support Mdd Owners' Quest For Silence, We Have Near Silent
Dual 1.2 GHz Macs

I am adding this string to show a thread of sympathy, solidarity and
support from those one quarter million of us who will die with our
powerful Cubes still producing wonderful work in silence. We are now
adding dual 800 MHz, dual GHz and dual 1.2 GHz processors to our Cubes
with only the need for one small quiet 8 CM fan.

We understand the need for silent computing more than any other
Macintosh market segment. What has happened to the MDD community is
something that has kept almost all of us from joining you. Your
struggle is our struggle. I know I won't buy a PowerMac until these
noise issues are addressed seriously and consistently by the Apple
Computer Corporation.

May all Cube owners please take a few minutes to place your vote and
comment here to help the MDD owner community know that they are not
alone in your conviction that power and silence need not be mutually
exclusive features in one Macintosh computer.

Please contribute in any small way you can if you believe silent
computing is an important feature to retain with increased power.

Thanks,

Kunga
