Off topic :iMac

Hello out there,

I am installing my old OSX 1.1 (sins i run Jaguar) on my friends two 
iMacs.
On one it installed correctly but on the other one I don't get any 
screen picture once the iMac has booted from the CD and the start 
button doesn't shift to green.
9.2 works OK but the original install disks doesn't work either. 
Firmware is 1.2.

Does someone know about this problem or can reefer me to a site that 
can help?
