Luis: Have you tried IP over Firewire? You may find it nearly as useful as 
Disk Mode. It would avoid rebooting.

That's just what I'm after. I don't want to reboot each time I want to transfer files ar simply access another mac system. How can one do that? Would you be so kind to detail?
