[Cube] waiting for application services

First, make sure all USB and FireWire devices and cables are disconnected.  If it still won't boot, try booting from the OS X CD.  If that get's you going, run Disk Utilities and repair permissions.  Sounds like it's hanging on a corrupted file or something to me.
