Firmware on the graphic card? I'm actually using the Mac Radeon 7500, not the nvidia... The problem on my side with the Leopard install turned out to be a bad hard drive. Disk Warriror reported a number of bad blocks and that caused Leopard to choke on it. I'll replace it with a new one and try again next week. Advice please! I've had good luck with the ATI RADEON 7500 32MB ADC VGA card in my 450 MHz cube running 10.3.9. ADC and VGA ports I swapped the mounting hardware from my old card. Does anyone know if this is because of a > bad > DC-DC converter board? Most probably not, I believe this is the typical symptom of the misaligned/problematic power button gasket. The quick fix is to put the piece of paper in between the power button sensor and the outer shell. Yesterday I bought a new hard drive as DiskWarrior seemed to report bad block and general access problems on my Cube drive when mounted in target disk mode. I have put the new disk in, and when I tried to format it, Disk utility would refuse and report an input/output error. Tired various things and jumper settings with no luck. Finally I've put the new disk in the external firewire box, and that way I had no problems formatting and installing it. Finally I have put the disk in the Cube and it booted fine. The only problem I noticed so far is that the application for my Skype phone no longer works. So to summarize: - the old hard drive was not broken (but I'm glad i replaced it as it was more than 4 years in service) - for whatever reason my Cube seems to have problems when mounted in the target disk mode although the firewire port works fine with external devices There, hopefully this info will be of some use to someone. Very nice. I am using Rage128Pro card. It is not perfect for video, but I'm okay with how it works for everything else. Curious as to what "boot time is slow on video" means? I do not possess technical knowledge of graphics/video issues in todays world. But now that I am venturing into some new video efforts I guess I must come up to speed. Anyway... Are these 6200 cards old cards? One vendor on eBay says the cards are brand new? Are the ones on eBay flashed? I can get a 6200 from Buy.com using google checkout - only $13 with rebates, etc... - can it be flashed? Here's link: http://www.buy.com/prod/xfx-geforce-6200-256mb-agp-8x-video-card-dvi-vga-tv-out/q/loc/101/202138367.html?adid=17873&dcaid=17873 Thanks for help.
