[Cube] re:Running Ubuntu on my cube

Hi All,
 A little while ago, someone on this list stated that they were running Ubuntu smoothly on their cube. I wish to do the same, or better yet, run ubuntu on a hd where the optical drive currently is & Tiger on the other hd. My employer who is an ubuntu specialist suggests that this is possible & that there might be an early bios screen that will ask me on startup each time which os & hd I wish to boot to. Anyone have ideas here? Carrie Hirsch & yes I am crazy in Chicago.
