Firewire Card and iPod ???

I just got one of those VST Cards and, and after the yellow wire clip, it is
up and running.

I was wondering how one might sync with an iPod with this set-up. I think we
had a discussion about this in the past.

Also can one do a target disc with another firewire mac?

The cord offers no power to the iPod, which I think is the largest issue.

Any help would be appreciated.
