Hi Art, there are versions of mozilla run-capable with OS 8.1, and yes, mozilla is faster than Netscape. But with a minimum of 28 MB RAM allocation recommended you should not consider installing it on a 36 meg Duo. The same applies to NS6. iCab is appealing because of its small RAM footprint: 5 MB will do. I have it on my (56MB/OS 8.1) 2300 and find it reasonably fast with a 56k modem. MS IE 5.0 might be an alternative (also needs only some 5 MB) - which I discarded because it is some banana software (same as NS6 btw). So I would recommend iCab, their latest vs is almost perfect and backwards compatible to even OS7.6 IIRC. But then the below said is true: you can't expect much speed from a 2300, and especially not from a connection through its serial port. HTH Edgar >> to check it with my Duo 2300c.
