Don't forget the obvious....don't run an external monitor with the lid 
closed.
Short of an Interware/Vimage G3(copper) upgrade just keep it ventilated 
top and bottom.

You can run Jeremy's temp Control Strip module to get a feel for your 
temperature ranges.

I burned up a 603e that lived in a BookEndz docking station...it seemed 
to run a bit hotter than most other 2400s, peaking in the 180s(F).
