Well, it is the World Wide Web. 
It does add a degree of frustration but Google's
really neat,  easily accessible "Language Tools"  can
be helpful and sometimes humorous as well as
educational (check out what it does to this original
referenced message).
This is a rather arrogant stereotypical attitude
usually associated with US Americans  (as opposed to
other Americans of the non-gringo or far-north
persuasion), although the french are trying to catch
up. ;-). ;-)
Perhaps we should direct our peevishness to those that
just don't get it that you don't put Group list
addresses in the  AutoReply  address list. what a
disaster this can cause when it sends a notice to
himself if he on a list that does not kill the
infinite loop that it creates, Oh well, the good news
is that we are all human and therefor terminal.
