[DuoList] Duo 230 Battery rebuild

Dear List members,

A friend of mine recently swapped some RAM for his Duo230. I really 
love this little powerbook, it's slow but it sure will make a nice 
simple agenda, word processor/note taker.

Unfortunately the battery, Model Number M1499 is no longer operational. 
I am not sure if it really is dead, but it appears to hold no charge.

This leads me to my question.
Is it possible to rebuild these batteries? Do any of you have 
experience with this?

I would love to here back from any one concerning a url or experience.

I live in Poland and from what I saw in terms of pricing for a battery, 
they are rather expensive especially when I add delivery charges, 
nonetheless, feel free to send me a link to a decent seller.
