I have both a 280c and a 2300 and the memory chip for
the 2300 (24meg) shows up as 12 meg in the 280c, but
it still works.

	This is what makes me wonder if there is a place where you have
change a setting?  Like, for example, 12 meg is the 16 bit setting and
24 is the 32 bit setting, or something like that?
