Been awhile, as I've sold off all the Duos. IIRC, the cells are 4/5ths A cells and are normally 1500 to 1950 mAh. Try www.batteriesamerica.com for the cells. Got to be pretty good with a soldering iron, as well.

Freeze the old pack to get the seams good and hard, then crack the seams with a knife (use CARE!!) and a hammer or deadblow. Be careful, you just want to crack the ultrasonic weld, not the case. Pop out the battery pack, cut off the cells and swap in new ones. Make sure your solder joints are nice and flat, or the cells won't fit back into the case. Do NOT short the cells...these things can heat up a piece of wire (or a wedding ring) and cause severe burns.

One trick...when you pop the battery apart, take photos of the open pack, esp. if you're going to be working on it a few days....amazing what you can forget.

Have fun with it!
Andrew
