The pioneer drive may have a non standard signature and you would need to
change that in the firmware on the 911 chip using one of the oxford firmware
utilities that can be found on various websites

There is a modify configuration button, and then advanced options

One of the options is turning on/off the ability to recognized devices with
non standard signatures
