Quicksilver 3rd Hard drive

I recently added a third hard drive to my G4 933 in the bay right under the
superdrive. What's weird though is the holes of the hard drive don't line up
with the holes of the metal bay. It's like the holes of the bay are up too
high. So I really couldn't secure the hard drive into place. I just slid the
hard drive into the bay and connected everything....and viola it ran fine.

So I'm wondering if having a 7200 rpm drive just sitting snuggly in that bay
is a bad thing? Should I find a way to screw it in? It's a 40Gig 3.5 Maxtor
hard drive. Thank for any advice.
