[G4] iPod subthread

i have a 1st gen 5gb ipod and the only problem i had was with regards 
to the battery not fully charging/reporting no charge when there was 
still some left. apple fixed this with an update.
its been dropped, sat on, etc. no problems with 18 mnths of daily use.
