No way to tell from the problems you describe. Since opening your G4 is a
chore, can you move the G810 (yeah, I know it's heavy and bulky) to another
computer and try it?

Subject: [G4] Monitor madness
I have a ViewSonic G810 monitor on my old AGP 450 G4 with MacOS
10.2.6. Lately and unpredictably, the monitor seems to shut itself
off then come back on again - usually more than once. The screen
wiggles for a bit then steadies itself. It seems to happen most
frequently when first turned on or waking from sleep. Sometimes it
surprises me and does it really randomly. Sometimes it will happen
several times in a row. I checked the plugs and the voltage and
found no problems. I haven't opened the computer because that is a
chore - as much has to be moved. Anyone know if this is a monitor
problem or a card problem? Suggestions? Thanks for your help.
