[G4] Apple Pro speakers adapter

No there not usb...... they have a special connector that is a digital 
mini jack (a.k.a Apple Pro Speaker Jack) made by apple.

Here is something that you can use the "iFire" from Griffin 
Technology... It use a standard mini jack and a firewire port to power 
the speakers, check it out.
