Hi - I had my 733mhz G4 in to the shop just a few short weeks ago for a broken fan. Don't know which one, because I'm still on Applecare. It was worth it for me. It runs out next year, though, so I'll be interested in what folks say about the fan, because the fixed fan still seems loud, and not always when I'm using a RAM-intensive app, either. It seems to get louder at whim - no reem or rhyson that I can see. The respondent who mentioned "wind tunnel" - may I ask, is a fan problem a "feature" of this model? When mine broke, it sounded like all hell had gotten loose in there. Many thanks for tips about the lubricant. I may try this myself if I have further problems.
