I am trying to train my parent, who has an iMac G4 and doesn't
really know where the spacebar is yet :@*

Having to explain OS9 vs. OSX just about gives me a heart attack.

Also got an old Winders machine (Dell Inspiron with flakey keys)
from a friend and it seems to me that Bill writes more how tos
in greater detail in the Help menus, but that everything is more
convoluted to start with.

Apple seems to think that how tos are sort of silly as the interface
is supposed to be self-explanatory - but sometimes it just isn't.

I did teach Parent how to do a mailing list in Appleworks, over the
phone, without knowing how to do it myself :@* And they are two
different versions of Appleworks, too. <Patting self on back>
