Add a serial port on a PCI card (Stealth port for example
http://www.geethree.com/stealth/stealth.html) or a serial to USB adapter
(Keyspan is a good company http://www.provantage.com/pr_42828.htm).

The built-in modem of most G4's does not support voice.  No OSX software
