I've been using one for 2 years now - the sound has been fine, not
noticeably different from the built-in audio out on either the G3
PowerBook or the iMac.

Only problem I've had is that, like all USB devices, it gets shirty
with me and vanishes every so often, requiring a hot-plug to
reappear. This usually occurs after an app has wigged out and needed
a force quit in OS 9. Maybe happens three, four times a year. Thing
that most often causes it is using the printer, an Epson Stylus Photo
EX running on a USB to serial adapter. The extensions for that old
printer are so problematic I only load them to print and unload right
afterwards. So basically no fault of the iMic IMHO.

Macally make a similar thing and I got that initially but I took it
back after a few days because it seemed to not get on with something
else in my system. Can't remember what, this was a while ago now.
