I posted my problem at xlr8yourmac.com G4 forum:

http://bbs.xlr8yourmac.com/ubb/Forum27/HTML/000301.html

BDAqua sent me a copy of Carbon HexEdit, & in the SonyCDR file
[ in Extensions/Authoring Support Files ]

I edited out CRX140E..made it CRX215E, see below. I almost got the thing working:

- it burned the track
- "track closing": did that
- "session closing".. GOT HUNG UP (I waited a full 15 minutes)

I had to Force Quit out of BurnDisc to get out of it (clicking "stop" doesn't
work).
When I re-booted, the disk had no entries & 0K available. I wasted 3 disks, trying
to get things working. (I even tried editing CRX140E into CRX215E1, but that didn't

work).

I will note that re-booting doesn't seem to be necessary, you just change SonyCDR &

it seems to recognize the changes.

I'm out of ideas, any suggestions?

Here's the string I'm playing with
[ note that the only thing I've changed is the "CRX215ECD-RW", which used to be
"CRX140ECD-RW" ]

SONYCD-RW CRX215ECD-RW CRX700ECD-RW CRX155ECD-RW CRX170ECD-RW CRX800ECD-RW
CRX100CD-RW CRX120CD-RW CRX140CD-RW CRX145CD-RW CRX160CD-RW CRX700CD-RW CRX75LCD-RW
CRX10UCD-RW CRX155CD-RW CRX170CD-RW
CRX800cd-rdvd-rsonyBlankProgressCloseSessionWriteBlocksSetWriteParamsPageSynchronizeCacheSDAPExecuteCDBSDAPDispatchDriveReadyReadDiscInfoPrivateInterfaceLib

----

I noticed there is "CloseSessionWriteBlocks". Is the whole hack a waste-of-time, if
something more is necessary?
