8 port 10/100 Netgear hub with uplink port, comcast cable modem
FileSharing on the 733 turned on
The network path:
Cable modem/Netgear uplink port
733 plugged into one of the open netgear ports
G4 laptop also plugged into an open port on Netgear

When connecting to the 733 from the G4 laptop file transfers are very slow.
Was going to take 10 hours to copy 1 gig of info.
Decided to connect the 733 and the laptop via a direct connect via Ethernet,
the transfer took about 2 minutes.

Anyone have an explanation? Thanks Wayne.
