I had the same problem. I ended up flashing the nvram on a PC then flashing
it back to a mac. This was
advised by the ATTO tech dept. BTW. Updated all the ATTO software as well.
If that doesn't work try
the drive in another Mac. Could be a flaky power supply.

Have you updated any software recently ?
