Why not AppleWorks?

I agree with Keith and Mel.  MS Word 5.1a is the best version MicroHard ever 
offered for Mac.  Word 6 was so buggy that they never attempted to debug it, 
then they offered gigantic ramhogs.  Actually, 98 and 2001 work well but 
they are so huge and unwieldy that I tend to use either Word 5.1a or 
WordPerfect 3.5 Enhanced.

By the way, why not use AppleWorks?  It works great with OS 9.2.1, OS 9.2.2 
and X.

In my personal experience, each Word version after 5.1A was far bigger, not 
as easy to use, contained far more "features" than necessary and that was 
increasingly true for each subsequent release.

I still have and use 5.1A.
