[G4] identifying a Radeon 8500

Does anybody know a sure fire way to tell if a Radeon 8500 is a Mac
edition or a flashed PC? I have dealt with 3 cards from 2 ebay sellers
and all 3 had the same issue with my Gigabit G4 with Sonnet Encore
upgrade. All of them would lock up after a few minutes of the screen
saver activating or playing Halo. I finally figured out that they will
work only if I install my PCI Radeon 7000 in the adjacent slot. 2 of
the 3 cards were advertised as "Mac compatible", the other was
advertised as a Mac edition card. They all had the same number stamped
on the card...109-85700-00. ATI said they can't identify the card
without the P/N 102 number? There is no number that starts with 102.
I spent $75 on the Mac compatible card and $100 on the Mac edition
card. I would like to be able to go back on the seller that advertised
it as a Mac edition if I can verify that it is not. I would really
appreciate any help.

Thanks--

Kevin
