[G4] 733mhz G4 Loudish Fan

Hi all,

Speaking of the fan issues. Anne said she has some trouble hearing, now 
what if  someone is deaf. What would happen if the fan/s broke and went 
un noticed. Are there any system safety nets that would shut the 
computer off before doing damage to the CPU, etc...?
