[G4] was running word on osX .. now eudora

Just for the heck of it, try this trick with Eudora: set up a brand 
new account (personality) in Eudora with the exact same settings that 
you have been using.  Then try to read mail for the new personality 
(OPT-CMD-M).  That might work.  If it does, delete the old account 
(personality) and substitute the new one for it. (Worked for me!)
