To the topic starter:
Don't know to which channel you have the WD connected and if there is
another IDE device on that channel, but if it's slaved to some other drive
try setting the master as the master and this HD as slave instead of using
cable select.
If it's the only drive on the channel use it as master which is no jumper at
all as shown in your picture.
A while ago when the 120GB WDs came on the market there was some confusion
about the jumpers, most people jumpered it as master while you actually have
to remove any jumpers for master only configs.
