Who said you have to put them in one by one? You can copy several at
once, or whole directories (except for the Classic fonts folder).

   "Mac OS X also supports hierarchical font folders so users can
    create multiple levels of font folders within font directories."

Check out Apple's "Using and Managing Fonts in Mac OS X" technology
overview paper.

Nice try, but no, it doesn't work that way. It just means that (unlike
Mac OS 9 and earlier), OS X parses folder hierarchy in the fonts
folders, which gives the user a simple method of managing fonts.

The font menu is a different and much more complicated kettle of fish.

Considering a new mac for the missus'.  The 1.25 mhz G4 desktop
looks pretty good at $1299.  Anyone have any experience with them?
