[G4] iBook vs powerbook?

I have the 12" iBook and find it quite adequate for my needs; 
however, I bought my wife the 12" Powerbook, as it has the capability 
of driving a 23" external Cinema Display, which the iBook cannot. 
Personally I prefer the carbide case of the iBook to the metal case 
of the Powerbook, but that is a personal preference.
