Well, my first thought is to split it into two files-- using ZipIt. It will let you .zip a file into more than one segment. You can then send both, and the recipient can rejoin them. Another option, if you have .mac, is to set up the file for download from your webspace. You can also put it in your public folder on your .mac webspace, and have the person get it from there. For huge files, I find whalemail to be useful-- http://www.whalemail.com, although that costs money, so you really need to have a good reason. I'm sure other people have good/better ideas.
