[G4] ATI Radeon 9800 /Dual 1 Gig

Hi, I have a Dual 1Gig and I need to install a 9800 card - its a PC version 
versus the Mac Edition.  I have a Mac edition in another 867 and it works 
great.  I put this PC 9800 card in and the G4 doesn't start up.  When I put the 
original Apple OEM card in, it starts right up.  I thought that the PC version of 
the 9800 would work in either a PC or Mac.  Could someone please clarify if 
it works on a G4.  Also, what would be the difference in the cards?
