[G4] 802.11g through USB?

As you say, In the tower Josh may be best served to use a PCI  
wireless. Beside Sonnet, Linksys also has them at about $50 for the  
"G". I have not used the PCI card myself but I think it may be better  
than hogging a USB 2.0 port.
