What kind of video card are you using? I can generate 60Hz signals from my Radeon 8500.

Subject: [G4] using HDTV as display?

Hi:

How many of you use an HDTV as the display?

I just got a HDTV Mitsubishi 3040 (30" Plasma display), & it's now hooked up
to the G4's svga video-out. Unfortunately, the PC input for the HDTV says
"60hz" next to the connector, so it implies that it will only take a 60hz
video signal. My G4/667 will only put out a 67hz signal (minimum). So,
right now my picture has a black portion on the bottom, & some buttons on
A-dock can't be seen (or used). Plus, the HDTV is complaining about the "PC
signal frequency out of range", so there's this annoying greyish message
overlaying my screen (can't get rid of it).

I think the use of HDTV as computer screen may not be practical, at least
via the "PC port" (the SVGA connector on the HDTV). (because of the 60hz
limitation).

However, I believe the solution is using the DVI/Monlink input. So, I used
a
DVI cable to the G4/667 using a (ADC to DVI adapter by Belkin), but I
couldn't get a picture. I think I need the Monlink input (a 9-pin D
connector) to "set a pin enable" to get the picture going.

Anyone know how to do this? The manual only
