Hi Dick,

On your desktop select the name of the disc in question and type in the new
name.  Should be 
immediate and permanent, except you can continue to rename it at your
leisure.

Can someone help me change the name of my computer?  I went to the System
Preferences/Accounts but find nothing about the computer name. May be this
needs to be done from the Terminal?
