This is an update to share what works and what does not work. The Syba PCI
Serial ATA Host Controller Card purchased from Fry's did not work. Mac OSX
Disk Utility could not see or format the SATA drive. The Syba card has been
removed and will go back to Fry's in the morning.

I received a good tip from Brian (BJ on this list) that he noticed a EZY
Connectivity Solutions SATA PCI card for sale at Surplus Computers in Santa
Clara and the docs said it was good for Mac's as well as PC's. The EZY card
is not for sale on the Surplus Computers web page. The web page covers the
Syba card that will NOT work with a Mac. I contacted the Mike Laird at SC
and he confirmed the EZY and Syba are in the same bin at the retail store
and both sell for $19.99. He opened the XYZ box and confirmed the docs say
it is Mac compatible.

I have one on order coming via UPS Ground-Slow. Stay tuned next week to see
if the EZY Connectivity Solutions SATA PCI card will let me find the Seagate
SATA drive.

ps: If you are thinking about adding a SATA drive to a G4, you will need an
adapter for the power plug. Fry's sells one for $1.98 and they are much
more at other places I checked.
