I too have "systems works' ...it's my fall back tool
when all else doesn't work1

A while back I picked up something called "Cocktail"
along with "Mac Janitor" these small application toos
work great taking care of my day to day needs.

I would simple say go out and pick them up today
...also Mac Word also thanks highly of these items.

"Cocktail" lets you fix and retore permissions on the
run.
