[G4] kernel panics across different volumes; RAM?

If that's the case, then you'll have to do the RAM module dance. Put in
one, run the Apple Hardware Test or MemTest and check it out. If it passes,
add another and repeat. If not, it's bad and hopefully you can return it
and get a replacement from the vendor.
