Simply deleting Dashboard (yes you can do that) works well too. I didn't like it from the moment I saw it. If I need to know the weather, I go to my local NBC affiliate's site...much more comprehensive or in my case noaa.org (I live in Florida). Some stupid widget isn't going to tell me about an approaching hurricane.
