Jamie,

Thanks for the comments.  The combo (ATA/SATA) USB 2.0 case showed up
yesterday.  It was really a tight fit but my old SATA drive finally made it
in the box.  I was shocked at sluggish speed of the USB interface. Really
slow and almost useless.  I used SD to clone my primary to the external and
it seemed to work okay.  Not having a firewire interface to be able to test
the clone is not good.  I could NOT find a combo drive with a  firewire
interface.  

End of topic.....  I need to find a firewire SATA enclousure.
