[G4] SCSI adapter for scanner and running on OSX

I have in my QS running 10.4.4 a pci card Adapted ADPT,2930CU which  
has never given a single problem, I have attach to it an Umax s6e  
driven by Vuescan. I think you can get that card relatively cheap now.
On the other hand, one of my friends has a G4 that had that card and  
worked ok with the Apple processor, then he put a upgraded processor  
and had to remove the card because it made the  computer unstable.
