[G4] Sonnet "Tango 2.0" USB/Firewire PCI Card

My Mac:  G4/400 • 960MB •  2x40 GB Internal HD •  80 GB External  
(Firewire)  •  160 GB External (USB 2.0)

I installed a Sonnet "Tango 2.0" USB/Firewire Card to drive the new  
160 GB HD.

On startup (or wakeup from Sleep) I get the black square that says I  
must restart my computer (in about five languages.)

Things work OK if I restart with nothing plugged into the Sonnet  
card.  After startup, I can plug in the USB 2.0 HD and it works fine.

Any ideas?  I have sent this same note to Sonnet, but no reply yet.
