[G4] Ibook Ethernet Connection

Thanks for the help... all of you I ended up connecting the ibook 
directly to the router and it worked ok. The Linksys 5 port switch 
seemed to pose a problem for the ibook to talk to the router.

Connecting the Mac G4 400 Mhz and Pc back up to the router all connect 
ok.
